Painting II

Objectives

NSA 1, 2, 6 -  1. TLW review the proper techniques to watercolor, acrylics, and oil paints.

NSA 1, 2  -  2. TLW apply paints to various materials (panel, canvas, paper, canvas board, watercolor paper, and found objects).

NSA 1 -  3. TLW generate new art ideas, concepts, and self-sufficiency

NSA 1, 5, 6 -  4.  TLW set goals that they are working on a higher level of production  (C and D  21st century skills) and thinking along with problem solving, have them use advance techniques in visually critiquing and working with other students in a timely manner.

NSA 4 -  5. TLW identify painting styles and how they reflect a culture's characteristics, also focus on the artist and reproduce a piece for the wall.

NSA 3 -  6. TLW demonstrate the ability to represent an object from different light conditions.

NSA 1 -  7. TLW apply the elements of design in creating a finished painting.

NSA 6 -  8. TLW develop written critiques of their own work as well as others' work.

NSA 1, 2  -   9. TLW demonstrate an understanding of the color theory (monochromatic, analogous, triad, complementary).
